• Jiminez, Sherry.  The Pregnant Woman's Comfort Guide.  l992.  A handbook which provides the expectant woman with natural and effective treatments for the most common discomforts of pregnancy and postpartum.
• Poole, Catherine, and Parr, Elizabeth.  Choosing a Nurse-Midwife. l994.  Information about choosing a midwife as a birth attendant.
• England, Pam.  Birthing From Within.  1998.  Comprehensive information about childbirth.
• Goer, Henci.  Thinking Woman’s Guide to a Better Birth.  1999.  Uses medical literature and research to dispel myths and traditions.  Surprisingly, much of the research does not support common medical opinion and practice.
• Korte and Scaer. A Good Birth, A Safe Birth, 3rd Ed.  1992.  Choosing and having the childbirth experience you want.
• Klaus and Klaus.  Your Amazing Newborn.  1998.  Beautiful book with lovely pictures about the capabilities of the newborn at birth and until 3 months.  Read it before you give birth.
